Megan Candillo: Children’s Director
Joey grew up in Independence and graduated from William Chrisman in 1992. He got into a lot of trouble as a teenager and young adult. In 1997, he went to prison for a short time for selling drugs. While in there he became a Christian. After getting out he surrendered to full time ministry and enrolled at Baptist Bible College in 1998. He graduated in May of 2002. In September of the same year, he planted The Milestone Church in inner-city Kansas City. In 2004, the Milestone Church merged with Bales Baptist Church and Joey became the pastor of Bales. He resigned from Bales in the fall of 2013 and began to make plans to launch Grace Church. He married Megan in May of 2005. Joey is blessed with five children (Caitlyn, Josiah, Grace, Madison, and Jaxon). In his spare time he loves to hunt and fish. He is passionate about connecting people with God.
Chuck grew up in Independence and graduated from Wm. Chrisman High School. After high school, he graduated from Southwest Baptist University where he met his wife, Mary Beth. Chuck and Mary Beth have 2 marrided children and 3 grandchildren. In 2012, Chuck received a “stand in the gap” call from the Lord where he was called to support the ministry of the Lord’s church and share the good news of Jesus Christ. Chuck’s previous employment includes a teacher and coach at Englewood Christian School, working at the Boys Club of Independence, working for the State of Missouri as a Case Management Supervisor and an Associate Pastor at a local church. Some of Chuck’s hobbies include fishing and wood carving.
Chad Toney: Worship Pastor
Chad was saved as a child at a neighborhood Backyard Bible Club. He married Carol in 1998 and is blessed with two children (Ian and Payton). Chad has been a Worship Pastor for the past 8 years. He is a very talented and accomplished musician and is the lead singer of a Christian band. He has a passion for God and a compassion for people. He loves to lead others to worship Jesus.
